UNIHEAT showcased technologies at the Russia & CIS Oil & Gas Executive Summit in Dubai, 19-20 February 2015

The UNIHEAT project participated with a stand at the leading platform for senior level oil & gas leaders, the Russia & CIS Oil & Gas Executive Summit which will take place in Dubai, 19-20 February 2015.

Over the last four years the Executive Summit has established itself as a leading platform for senior level oil & gas leaders involved in developing the strategy for their companies and shaping the industry future in Russia & CIS and other areas.

Leading experts in the sector gathered to discuss market trends, regulations and their industry impact and long term strategic planning, among other relevant topics during the two days of the event.

UNIHEAT showcased its oil and gas industry innovations

The UNIHEAT project is now in its third year, making excellent progress both on its Industry Engagement and Research Programmes. A number of innovative technologies have been produced in each of six research Themes, ranging from oil characterisation, testing for fouling and mitigation, advanced modelling of processes (from molecular simulations of oil properties, to complex flow in equipment and drag mitigation in pipelines), catalytic heating for transport and stationary applications, catalytic conversion of bottom of the barrel residues in fluidised bed reactors, energy recovery methods utilising high efficiency engine cycles and low temperature pyrolysis of light hydrocarbons. Several patents and case studies have been produced.

In its two years running, the project has raised interest and has developed contacts with many companies, using an individual approach to target specific technologies.

UNIHEAT at the Summit

The exhibition was a good opportunity to engage with the attendees, share the results of the UNIHEAT project and the technologies being developed, and to discuss application opportunities.
