As part of the project’s Industry Engagement Programme, UNIHEAT researchers met with technical experts from Russian oil and petrochemical companies at the Skolkovo Hypercube in Moscow to discuss the technology transfer aspects of the project.
Representatives from LUKOIL, Weatherford and Shell among many others engaged in a lively brainstorming day with the UNIHEAT team on 9th July 2013 in Moscow. The event featured presentations on the UNIHEAT research programme given by academics from both Boreskov Institute of Catalysis and Imperial College London, followed by a discussion between researchers and delegates on possible routes to market for the technologies developed as part of the project.
Research – Industry collaboration
This event embodied some unique aspects of UNIHEAT, which has developed a variety of mechanisms to encourage the dialogue between research and industry in order to achieve applicability, impact and economic outcomes. The expertise and insight from the industry representatives proved invaluable during this activity, enabling the team to road-test its Commercialisation model and guide the project activities towards faster industrial uptake.
There are several ways for industrial organisations to collaborate on the UNIHEAT project. For more information on how working with us could benefit your organisation, please visit our Industry Engagement Programme pages or contact us.
